The second time that I ever went down to Renault Winery,
they had their Port in stock. They only make it once a
year and I was lucky to acquire two bottles. I passed one
bottle on to Al Paris at Mantra, which he delightfully
shared with his mother.
This wine is a nice port, though I am wondering what
grapes they used to make it, and what they added in the
final step to fortify it. However, it's not bad in price
(it's a 375ml bottle) for something that's not mass
produced, and it's got a great taste. About the taste,
it's warm and well-rounded, and I even detect a little bit
of dark berry in it!
